Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Faculty Employment Coordinator to oversee faculty recruitment, coordinating interview logistics and candidate introductions to the organization in a professional and positive manner.

The role collaborates with Department/Divisional Chairs Offices, Human Resources, School of Medicine, MCVP and Health System leadership; travel between facilities is required and strong administrative, scheduling, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years Human Resources or customer service, secretarial/administrative experience.
• Experience using a personal computer and Microsoft Office applications and e-mail calendaring.
• Six (6) years of previous Human Resources or customer service, secretarial/administrative work (preferred).
• Previous Human Resource experience in an academic or hospital setting (preferred).
• One (1) year of previous experience in recruitment support (preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or related field from an accredited program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordination of interview and recruitment related activities for faculty candidates who are identified and interviewed.
• Undertakes and completes other project work as assigned.
