Job summary

Advocate Health's High Point Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform facility and equipment maintenance in compliance with applicable codes and standards. You will document work in CMMS, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and patient-care equipment, respond to emergencies, and conduct preventive maintenance.

A high school diploma or GED, 2–4 years of experience, and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills such as CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Licensed to drive (Driver's license required).
• 2–4 years of experience in equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance to codes/standards.
• Documents work using CMMS.
• Maintains motors, pumps, doors, HVAC, boilers, and other equipment.
• Repairs patient care devices such as beds and wheelchairs.
• Responds to emergencies and performs preventive maintenance.
• Inspects fire doors and maintenance manuals per guidelines.
