Job summary

CAMBA in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support facilities and fleet operations, ensuring safety and efficient service. Under general supervision, you will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, maintain records, and assist staff.

You will drive when required, conduct vehicle inspections, transport clients to appointments, and help move supplies and furniture within facilities. A valid NYS driver’s license and ability to work with a diverse team are essential.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education and technical ability to comprehend work orders and instructions.
• Must have Valid New York State Driver's License and excellent driving history.
• Must complete NYS Approved Defensive Driving Classes every 3 years.
• Must remain insurable based on CAMBA's point system throughout employment.
• Bi-lingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.
• Perform daily pre-trip vehicle inspection prior to first trip of the day.
• Notify supervisor on duty in the event that there is any accident while operating a CAMBA vehicle.
• Transport clients and employees to appointments, meetings, and events.
• Assist with client move-outs by transporting clients and belongings to permanent housing locations.
• Move facility furniture and supplies between areas as needed.
• Identify and document maintenance issues on work orders.
