Job summary

CAMBA in Brooklyn seeks a Driver/Maintenance Worker to identify maintenance issues, inspect units, and ensure safe conditions. You will perform daily vehicle pre-trip checks, report problems, and support transportation operations in our Amboy Street facility.

The role requires a NYS Driver's license, defensive driving training, and insurability under CAMBA's policy; full-time, 35 hours per week, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education and technical ability to understand work orders and perform tasks.
• Ability to document accomplished tasks and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and document maintenance issues on work orders.
• Report inoperable or missing equipment promptly.
• Comply with maintenance regulatory requirements at all times.
• Inspect units to ensure safe conditions.
• Wear safety gear and use safety signs when performing tasks.
• Clean and sanitize spaces and fixtures.
• Replace light bulbs, fixtures and outlet covers as needed.
• Transport trash, recyclables and waste for disposal.
• Assist passengers needing help entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Perform daily pre-trip vehicle inspection and report issues.
