Job summary

CAMBA is hiring a Driver/Maintenance Worker in New York, NY. You will perform a range of maintenance tasks, assist clients with social services, and ensure safety and cleanliness across CAMBA facilities and vehicles.

The role requires strong ability to follow instructions, maintain client confidentiality, and obtain required clearances. Weekend/holiday work may be required, and the position offers a competitive benefits package including health and dental insurance, a 403(b) plan with employer

Qualifications

• Sufficient education and technical expertise to comprehend written and oral instructions (work orders); to accomplish maintenance tasks; and to document accomplished tasks.
• DOH Certified Food Handler.

Responsibilities

• Aid individuals and/or families requiring social service assistance;
• Interview and evaluate clients and formulate independent living plans;
• Locate and make use of appropriate community resources for clients;
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality;
• Identify and document all maintenance issues on work orders;
• Perform daily pre-trip vehicle inspection prior to the first trip of the day;
• Keep the vehicle clean and/or free of litter at all times;
• May escort clients to appointments;
• Must be able to carry at least 50 lbs.
