Job summary

The Scion Group is hiring a Facilities Technician to support our student housing properties. You will respond to maintenance requests, perform preventive tasks, and prepare apartments for turnovers while ensuring safety and high service levels.

You’ll work with the Facilities Supervisor, use Entrata and CMMS systems, and perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical tasks as needed. A strong customer-first mindset and reliable scheduling are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school completion.
• EPA 608 Type I certification.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or intent to obtain within six months.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of key management and security systems.
• Safety-conscious with punctuality and dependability.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use Entrata/CMMS and digital controls.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance and repair service requests.
• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks.
• Prepare apartments for turnovers and ensure timely supply requests.
• Maintain safety and functionality of buildings and equipment.
• Perform routine and minor repairs (carpentry, plumbing, electrical).
• Document work performed and parts used; report as required.
• Promote positive relations with residents and staff.
• Assist in after-hours emergencies as directed.
