Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is seeking a Facilities Technician to respond to maintenance requests, perform preventive maintenance, and prepare apartments for turnovers. You will ensure safety and functionality of the property and its systems while delivering exceptional service to residents and staff.

This role requires a hands-on professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma and a minimum of 1-3 years of full-time general maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination
• EPA 608 Type I certification
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO), or intention to obtain within six months
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Knowledge of key management and security systems
• Knowledge of safety procedures with a safety conscious attitude, punctuality and dependability
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to access computer programs and use basic computer operations (Entrata, CMMS, Building Automation system & Digital Control System)
• Ability and willingness to travel when required
• Ability to stand 8 hours or longer per day and lift up to 100 lbs

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in Entrata and CMMS systems for logging of service requests and completed work in a timely matter
• Maintain the physical condition of the property according to SOPs, OSHA and Industry standards
• Perform physically demanding work to maintain the asset and property features
• Execute maintenance objectives and daily assignments with the Facilities Supervisor
• Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repair promptly and professionally
• Ensure all service requests are completed daily
• Document work performed and parts used with notes, supplies, follow-up, dates and signatures
• Promote good public relations with residents, staff, contractors, and management
• Inspect vacated apartments and record necessary repairs for the supervisor
• Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and basic electrical tasks to prepare apartments timely
• Inspect common areas and exterior for daily upkeep and working light fixtures
• Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and systems for warranty life and safety
• Clean coils, lubricate equipment, maintain air filters and small repairs
• Maintain cleanliness of repair area and workshop
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies; organize storage rooms
• Unlock apartment doors and escort vendors as needed
• Keep drainage grills clear of leaves
• Clean pools and manage chemicals
• Pressure wash sidewalks and building exteriors
• Assist in snow removal as needed
• Set up and take down tables and chairs for tenant events
• Be on-call for after-hours emergencies as directed
• Maintain professional uniform and appearance
• Undertake necessary training
