Job summary

The Scion Group is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and repair residential properties, handle preventive maintenance, and prep apartments for turnovers. You will log work in Entrata/CMMS, perform routine trades, and ensure safety standards.

You will cultivate strong relationships with residents and staff while following SOPs, OSHA, and industry guidelines. This role requires physical activity and flexibility for after-hours needs.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma or equivalent
• EPA 608 Type I certification
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or plan to obtain within six months
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Knowledge of key management and security systems
• Safety-conscious with punctuality and dependability
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to access computer programs (Entrata, CMMS, Building Automation, Digital Control System)
• Ability and willingness to travel when required
• Stand 8 hours or longer and lift up to 100 lbs as necessary

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in Entrata and CMMS systems for logging service requests and completed work
• Maintain property condition per SOPs, OSHA, and industry standards
• Perform maintenance/repair, basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical tasks
• Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and systems
• Document work performed with notes, parts used, follow-ups
• Promote positive relations with residents, staff, contractors, and management
• Inspect vacated apartments and communicate needed services to supervisor
• Routinely inspect common areas and ensure lighting and fixtures work
• Assist with snow removal and tenant function setups
• Be available for after-hours emergencies as directed by supervisor
