Job summary

The Scion Group is seeking a Facilities Technician to support property maintenance and repairs at our Texas site. This role responds to service requests, performs preventive tasks, and prepares apartments for turnovers while ensuring safety and reliability of buildings and equipment.

It requires high school or GED, a CPO or plan to obtain, and strong communication. The position offers competitive benefits and opportunities to work in a fast-paced student living environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or plan to obtain within six months.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Safety-conscious with reliable punctuality and dependability.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to learn basic computer operations related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the property according to SOPs, OSHA, and industry standards.
• Perform physically demanding maintenance to minimize liability.
• Execute daily maintenance objectives and assignments.
• Carry out routine repairs and minor maintenance promptly and professionally.
• Assist in completing service requests and document work performed.
• Record parts used with notes and signatures after completion.
• Foster positive relations with residents, staff, contractors, and management.
• Perform basic appliance repair, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical tasks.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and keep work areas clean.
