Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in New York is seeking a Facility Technician to assist with operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs for assigned properties and facilities.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing commercial building systems, performing preventive maintenance, and adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. A valid driver’s license and basic computing skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems including pumps, valves, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
• Clean, lubricate, and service a wide variety of equipment and building systems.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, and painting.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate, and suggest improvements to maintenance operations.
• Respond to emergencies and customer service requests as assigned.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions and preventive maintenance.
• Operate fire and life safety systems as assigned.
• Complete required safety training and adhere to dress code.
