Job summary

Greystar in Washington, DC is seeking a Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair building systems, and manage make-ready tasks to prepare units for leasing.

Applicants must have EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Robust benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per safety standards and codes.
• Completes make-ready process for vacant apartments including pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Accesses and tracks materials, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor for re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately for tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
