Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in Salt Lake City is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to lead a team and ensure a safe, well-maintained store environment with daily readiness for business.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC and building systems, mentor junior technicians, coordinate with vendors and the Facilities Manager, and help manage parts and CMMS records. This role requires 5–7 years in facilities with a mechanical focus, strong communication, and flexibility to work days,

Qualifications

• 5–7 years hands-on facilities experience with emphasis in mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
• 5+ years of experience with HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input/output, low voltage signaling, and logic devices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work without supervision while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems across store operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and CMMS records.
• Coordinate with FM, vendors and store leadership; mentor other technicians.
• Ensure safety procedures and compliance across shifts.
