Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to lead a team ensuring a safe, well‑maintained store environment across multiple Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom Rack locations. You will support the Facilities Manager, manage preventive maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC and electrical systems, and mentor junior technicians.

You will document activities, coordinate with stores and vendors, and participate in safety programs to uphold compliance and operational readiness for daily

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Associates or higher degree preferred in a relevant field.
• 5–7 years hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years in predictive and preventive maintenance.
• 5+ years HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input/output signals and low voltage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to store operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems; troubleshoot alarms.
• Document outcomes and delegate tasks while mentoring other technicians.
• Assist FM with training of new employees on equipment/building systems.
• Respond to location emergencies and coordinate with vendors/contractors.
