Job summary

The Maintenance Technician II at Nordstrom Inc. helps lead a team to provide a safe and well-maintained store environment for customers and employees.

This role supports the Facility Manager to ensure stores are ready for business daily and to mentor other technicians across Nordstrom stores and Rack locations within a business node. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, operate building controls, document outcomes, manage parts and vendor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Associates or higher in a vocational field preferred.
• 5-7 years hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and mechanical skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication with all organizational levels and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on critical building equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Store Operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems; troubleshoot alarms.
• Document outcomes and maintain CMMS records accurately.
• Mentor technicians and assist in training new employees.
• Coordinate with FM, vendors, and facilities team for repairs and parts.
