Job summary

The Scion Group is hiring a Facilities Technician II to respond to maintenance requests, perform preventive tasks, and prepare apartments for turnovers at our Washington property. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and fast problem solving in a dynamic, collegiate environment.

You will oversee major building systems monitoring, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with SOPs, OSHA, and industry standards while delivering excellent service to residents and the team.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma and 3–5 years of full-time maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification/EPA 608 (Core, Type I, II & III).
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or intent to obtain within six months.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and secured access systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property per SOPs and OSHA.
• Perform demanding maintenance to protect the asset and minimize liability.
• Oversee operations, monitoring/diagnostics, and preventative testing on major building systems.
• Operate life-safety system monitoring and testing (fire pumps, alarms, sprinklers, exits).
• Assist in emergency/disaster preparedness planning.
• Maintain key management and coordinate with vendors/contractors.
