Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is hiring a Facilities Technician II to support maintenance and repairs across properties. You will perform preventive maintenance, prepare units for turnovers, and ensure safety and functionality of building systems in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong technical ability, problem solving, and reliable follow-through to keep our properties running smoothly for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma with 3–5 years of full-time general maintenance experience or equivalent.
• HVAC certification and EPA 608 certification (Core, Type I, II & III).
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or plan to obtain within six months.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of key management and security systems.
• Knowledge of safety procedures with punctuality and dependability under deadlines; flexible after-hours schedule.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use computer programs and learn Entrata, CMMS, Building Automation and Digital Control Systems.
• Willingness to travel when required.
• Ability to stand 8 hours or longer and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property condition per SOPs and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform physically demanding work to maintain asset and minimize liability.
• Oversee operating, system monitoring/diagnostics, and preventive testing for major building systems.
• Monitor life safety systems (fire pumps, alarms, sprinklers, detectors, extinguishers, egress).
• Assist in creating emergency and disaster preparedness plans.
• Maintain key management protocols and security; unlock apartment doors and escort vendors as needed.
• Coordinate deliveries and work schedules with vendors and Supervisors.
• Coordinate maintenance objectives with the Manager; Daily assignments.
• Diagnose and perform routine maintenance and repairs promptly.
• Ensure all service requests are completed.
