Job summary

St. Jude is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer II to support maintenance of the Central Energy Plant and campus utility systems. The role involves inspections, preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and reliability of building systems in a hospital environment.

The candidate should have 2+ years of relevant experience, licenses and familiarity with BAS/CMMS, and be capable of mentoring junior staff while maintaining consistent attendance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of maintenance engineer/shift engineer experience in hospital or related environment.
• Experience with facilities management or technical maintenance.
• Experience with repair and maintenance of facilities related equipment.
• Experience in a campus/multi-building environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure facility performance.
• Ensure safe, smooth operation and maintenance of the facility with a safety‑focused mindset.
• Provide support for preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic and pneumatic facility/equipment controls and respond to abnormal conditions and emergencies.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and upkeep of common areas and facility equipment.
• Assist with training of junior personnel and maintain regular attendance.
