Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital seeks a Control Room Shift Engineer II to operate and maintain the Central Energy Plant, including steam and chilled water systems.

You will monitor alarms, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with FOM, security, and vendors. The role requires licensure (Steam Engineer First Class and Refrigeration Engineer First Class) and prior hospital or multi-building facility experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Technical School Diploma or Certification preferred.
• Steam Engineer First Class License required.
• Refrigeration Engineer First Class License required.
• Experience with CMMS and BAS (Metasys) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility systems.
• Ensure safe operation and safety focus across the facility.
• Support maintenance on electronic and pneumatic controls; respond to alarms.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and equipment.
• Provide guidance to junior personnel and training as needed.
