St. Jude is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer II to support maintenance of the Central Energy Plant and campus utility systems. The role involves inspections, preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and reliability of building systems in a hospital environment.
The candidate should have 2+ years of relevant experience, licenses and familiarity with BAS/CMMS, and be capable of mentoring junior staff while maintaining consistent attendance.
Provide utility system maintenance and repair for equipment located in the Central Energy Plant and the campus primary utility distribution systems in accordance with applicable codes. Review proposed utility designs for construction and renovation. Provide recommendations, advice and oversight on installation and modification of new utilities systems.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal facility performance. Ensure smooth operation, maintenance, and safety of the facility; maintain a safety‑focused mindset on all aspects of the position.
Provide support of preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic and pneumatic facility/equipment controls and respond to abnormal conditions and emergencies. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and upkeep of common areas and facility equipment.
Improve technical expertise from senior team members and supervisor, assist with training of junior personnel, perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
High School diploma/ GED required.
2+ years of experience as Maintenance Engineer/Shift Engineer in hospital or related environment. 2+ years of experience performing maintenance on utilities systems. Experience with facilities management, technical maintenance or customer service. Experience with repair and maintenance of facilities related equipment. Experience in a campus/multi‑building or single, multi‑story building environment, preferred.

St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $26.00 – $45.50 per hour for the role of Facilities Maintenance Engineer II.
