Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Roving Shift Engineer II to monitor, operate, and maintain complex facility systems including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and water systems.

You will respond to alarms, perform preventive maintenance, and support senior staff while ensuring safety and reliability across campus. The role requires at least 2 years in a hospital setting, knowledge of essential plant systems, and experience with CMMS/BAS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years as a Shift Engineer or Boiler Operator in a hospital or similar facility.
• Knowledge of boilers, chillers, cooling towers and related systems.
• Experience with facility maintenance, technical upkeep or customer service.
• Familiarity with CMMS and BAS (e.g., Metasys) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure facility performance.
• Ensure safety and smooth operation of the facility with a safety-focused mindset.
• Provide preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic and pneumatic controls; respond to alarms and emergencies.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and equipment; assist training of junior staff.
