Job summary

UCI Health, the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, is seeking a Supervisor, Facilities Management to lead day-to-day facilities operations and supervise staff across assigned locations. This role emphasizes safety, compliance, and service excellence within a complex health system.

The incumbent will train and coach coworkers, manage performance, and coordinate with various teams to maintain high-performance medical center buildings.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of all types and functions of elevators including applicable elevator codes, standards and regulations.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must have 3 years of supervisory experience in physical plant operations or related field.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Knowledgeable about strategies for improving utility usage efficiency and concepts related to high performance medical center buildings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated, strong conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills.
• Current State of California Driver's License.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day facilities operations and safety compliance across assigned areas.
• Direct supervision of coworkers, including training, coaching and performance management.
• Ensure adequate coworker coverage and coordinate workflows with health-system teams.
• Maintain accurate records and promote continuous improvement and effective communication.
