Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the Medical Center's mechanical systems and energy performance. Reporting to the Director of Facilities and Safety Services, you will lead maintenance programs and drive reliability while controlling costs.

You will supervise engineering teams, ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other regulations, and translate complex requirements into actionable plans that improve safety, efficiency, and patient care across

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years managerial experience in a medium to large facility.
• Experience in healthcare facilities engineering including electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission and hospital regulatory requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret complex regulations, contracts and policies.
• Strong organization and project management skills.
• Financial management and budgeting experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and medical gas.
• Develop operating, maintenance and energy-efficiency programs.
• Assist the Director in overseeing plant operations for the Medical Center.
• Improve safety, quality and performance while managing budgets.
• Lead teams, develop talent and drive process improvements.
