Job summary

The Children’s Home of Reading Youth & Family Services (CHOR YFS) is seeking a Facilities Specialist to maintain safe, functional homes and community facilities. You will support day-to-day operations, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with Facilities Management to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of facilities maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of general maintenance methods, safety precautions, and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned facilities and support day-to-day operations under Facilities Manager guidance.
• Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and emergency repairs.
• Track work orders in the CMMS and complete PM tasks within set timeframes.
• Collaborate with staff, vendors, and facilities management; travel between locations as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies outside standard hours.
