Job summary

Block by Block is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee one of our Cleaning and Safety Ambassador programs in downtown Columbia. Ideal candidate will have Columbia Security License and 5+ years in facilities operations management, security operations, hospitality/tourism management, event management, or public spaces administration.

Strong leadership and client relations skills are essential. You will manage a team of about 11 employees, coordinate resources, procure supplies, and report

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years management experience in a related field.
• Columbia Security Licensure required or must obtain within 30 days.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Hire and train a skilled, dependable team of ~11 employees.
• Adjust resource deployment to meet changing needs.
• Identify and resolve issues to improve program quality.
• Procure and manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Report outcomes via spreadsheets, Kronos Timekeeping, and budgets.
• Provide hands-on coaching and on-site leadership.
