Job summary

City of Edinburg in Edinburg, TX seeks a Director of Public Facilities to lead the Public Facilities Department, directing maintenance, operations, and capital projects for city buildings and grounds. The role emphasizes executive leadership and collaboration with multiple city teams to ensure safe, functional public assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or related field.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Certifications such as CFM, FMP, PMP; LEED experience.
• Five (5) years progressive experience in related business operations.
• Seven (7) years progressive management experience in municipal or commercial aviation industry.
• Three (3) years supervisory experience or at least five (5) years of direct oversight of a group of employees.
• Current and valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas DPS.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level leadership, strategic direction, and administrative oversight for the City's Public Facilities operations.
• Oversee planning, organizing, and directing facility maintenance, operations, and capital improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Public Works, Engineering, Utilities, Building Safety, and Solid Waste and CIP teams.
• Manage contracts, vendors, and service providers including janitorial, landscaping, security, parking management systems, and specialized maintenance services.
