Job summary

City of Edinburg seeks an Engineer III to design municipal water, sewer, storm drainage, and roadways. The role requires coordinating with multiple divisions and ensuring compliance with codes and city ordinances.

Qualified candidates will have a relevant engineering degree, PE license, and several years of experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, and a Texas driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Master's degree in related field and Professional Engineer license is required.
• Minimum four (4) years of experience.
• Six (6) years of experience.
• Must have a valid Texas Class C driver's license.
• Pre-employment drug test required at City's expense.
• Registered Professional Engineer with the State of Texas or approved equivalent.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design municipal water, sewer, storm drainage, and roadway systems.
• Review reports, drawings, specs, and calculations for compliance with codes and ordinances.
• Review/approve stormwater pollution prevention plans for new construction.
• Assist in residential, commercial improvement and subdivision plats.
