Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a Project Manager in the Business Advancement department at Schottenstein Center Operations Administration to oversee facility needs for events, coordinate with engineers and contractors, and ensure safe, cost-efficient delivery.

The role involves supervising student workers, payroll support, and creating event reports, with 24-hour emergency call responsibility and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 0 years of relevant experience required; 0-2 years preferred.
• Familiarity with state and local building codes and building systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Microsoft Office knowledge and valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, Ohio Building Code (OBC) and NFPA preferred.
• Experience negotiating contracts; ability to work long hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage facility needs for events, including event set ups and post-event cleaning.
• Coordinate pricing and proposals with contractors on projects.
• Supervise student workers and assist with training and recruitment.
• Assist payroll processing and other administrative functions.
• Prepare event reports and event checklists.
