Job summary

The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH seeks a Planned and Preventative Maintenance Specialist to supervise and execute a campus-wide maintenance program for Student Life facilities (~6.2M sq ft). You will coordinate with Facilities Managers, supervise contractors, and perform hands-on work across plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

The role runs 9:00 pm–9:00 am on a rotating schedule; weekend and holiday shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Must be able to push/pull 70 pounds, climb ladders, have a valid driver’s license, and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Develops, delivers and executes Student Life planned and preventative maintenance program; identifies and documents deficiencies and corrective measures.
• Promotes stewardship of university facilities; leads and participates in inspections and safety practices; coordinates with managers to ensure safe work practices and project completion.
