Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a Planned and Preventative Maintenance Specialist for the Student Life | North Maintenance team. The role focuses on coordinating and delivering a comprehensive maintenance program across campus facilities and dining equipment, including weekends and off-hours responses.

The position supports building operations, safety compliance, and data collection, transitioning between planned work and reactive tasks as needed, with responsibilities including supervision of

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 years of maintenance experience; ability to push/pull 70 pounds, climb ladders, valid driver’s license; background check.
EPA universal certification (608) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develops, delivers and executes the planned and preventative maintenance program; documents deficiencies and corrective actions.
Leads facilities activities, coordinates inspections, coordinates with teams and ensures safe operations.
Communicates with contractors and partners; documents tasks and responds to urgent maintenance requests.
