Job summary

PTR Global in Cumberland, Rhode Island, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager II to support facility capital projects from planning to closeout. You will coordinate renovation, construction, and major maintenance work with facilities teams, contractors, and vendors while ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

The role requires collaboration, documentation, and regular updates to stakeholders, plus experience with building systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, Architecture, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in facilities, construction, project coordination, property management, or related fields.
• Knowledge of commercial building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of facility renovation, construction, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Track project schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate project meetings and maintain project documentation.
• Support project closeout activities, punch lists, and turnover to operations.
• Assist in preparing bid packages, requests for proposals (RFPs), and contractor documentation.
• Coordinate activities of architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
• Monitor contractor performance, safety compliance, and quality of work.
• Collaborate with Facilities staff to minimize operational impacts during project execution.
• Assist in coordinating shutdowns, logistics, site access, and occupant communications.
• Support commissioning, testing, and operational readiness activities.
• Track project expenditures and assist with budget reporting.
• Process purchase orders, invoices, and contract documentation.
• Maintain accurate project records and financial files.
• Support adherence to OSHA, environmental, building code, and corporate safety requirements.
• Participate in site inspections and safety reviews.
• Ensure required permits, documentation, and project records are maintained.
• Serve as a liaison between Facilities, contractors, and internal customers.
• Provide project updates and status reports.
