Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our client in Warwick, RI. This on-site permanent position supports Project Managers and field teams across the full project lifecycle.

The candidate will help manage commercial construction projects, coordinate with subs and vendors, review plans, track budgets and schedules, and maintain documentation. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and CM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Commercial construction experience.
• Experience working with subcontractors and vendors.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with construction management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day management of commercial construction projects.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and clients.
• Assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Track project schedules, budgets, and overall progress.
• Participate in project meetings and distribute meeting documentation.
• Assist with subcontractor and vendor coordination.
• Monitor project costs and assist with forecasting.
• Help identify and resolve project issues before they become larger problems.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Visit active job sites as needed to support project teams.
• Work closely with field personnel to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
