Job summary

The Scion Group is hiring a Porter/Gatekeeper to maintain the common areas of a residential property. This on-site role supports a clean, safe, and welcoming environment and may assist with general maintenance tasks as needed.

Responsibilities include cleaning, landscaping, lighting and irrigation upkeep, and following safety protocols. The position emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and a customer‑centric approach in a collegiate setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or trade school equivalent.
• 1 year of full-time experience in lawn/grounds maintenance or related field preferred.
• Must be able to read instructions and document labor and materials.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property according to SOPs and industry standards.
• Perform physically demanding work to maintain assets and minimize liability.
• Remove trash and debris from common areas; sweep and clean sidewalks and walkways.
• Maintain and repair stair treads, exterior lighting, irrigation, and landscaping.
• Mow, edge, rake leaves, fertilize, plant, and perform seasonal upkeep.
• Keep safety procedures and emergency protocols in place; respond to after-hours needs as required.
