Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, is seeking a Porter in Dallas to handle facility maintenance duties and customer interactions. This full-time role requires ability to perform with minimal supervision and dedication to keeping the garage and offices clean and safe.

You will work with the facility team to maintain order, assist customers, and ensure smooth operations. Prior maintenance experience is helpful but not always required.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma or a combination of experience and education.
• License: Valid state-issued driver’s license if driving a company vehicle.
• Availability to Work: 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Oral Communication: Speaks clearly; listens and clarifies.
• Written Communication: Reads and interprets written information.
• Customer Service: Maintains positive attitude; assists customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted in the checklists and as directed by the facility manager/supervisor to ensure dirt, dust, litter and debris are removed from all areas of the facility.
• Walk garage daily to note and correct maintenance problems.
• Sweep and pick up around entrances and exits to the garage and stairwells; clean rails on all levels, the booth, office and rest rooms.
• Empty all trashcans in garage, booth and office.
• Paint surfaces as directed to keep poles, signs, doors, walls, curbs and other areas neat.
• Replace burned out bulbs.
• Submit requests for repairs or maintenance.
• Check gate arms and tickets/spitters for proper operation and timing.
• Provide ticket and record gate counters to the Manager.
• Maintain a garage/lot sweep sheet.
