Job summary

SP Plus Corporation is seeking staff for facility maintenance with a strong focus on customer interaction and safety. The role requires ability to work various shifts, including weekends, and to perform housekeeping, light maintenance, and customer assistance.

The position emphasizes reliability, clear communication, and a proactive approach to keeping the garage area clean and safe. No advanced degree is required beyond a high school diploma, with a valid driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience in maintenance optional.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean record.
• Shift availability including weekends; 3rd shift may be required.
• Oral communication: speaks clearly; asks questions when needed.
• Written communication: reads and writes clearly.
• Customer service focus and positive attitude.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and tasks.
• Sound judgment and professionalism in all duties.
• Must read/write English and interpret written information.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks per checklists to keep the facility clean and safe.
• Walk the garage daily to identify and fix maintenance problems.
• Sweep and tidy entrances, exits, rails, and offices; clean restrooms.
• Empty trashcans in garage, booth, and office.
• Paint facility surfaces as directed to keep appearance neat.
• Replace burned-out bulbs; maintain lighting.
• Respond to repairs or maintenance requests; escalate as needed.
• Check safety items (gate arms) for proper operation.
• Monitor gate counters and ticket spitters for accuracy.
• Provide ticket counts and maintain janitorial supplies inventory.
• Operate sweepers, scrubbers, and outdoor equipment as needed.
• Shovel/snow-remove in winter from ramps; follow supervisor directions.
• Report policy violations or safety hazards promptly.
• Support Three Keys to Customer Satisfaction and assist customers.
• Assist with cashier duties or other tasks as needed.
• Maintain a neat uniform and appearance; perform other duties as assigned.
