Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a Maintenance Porter to support facility upkeep and customer interactions at our Houston location. The role covers cleaning, light repairs, inventory, and safety checks as part of daily operations.

You will walk the garage, sweep, replace bulbs, assist customers, and report maintenance needs. A high school diploma and the ability to work varied shifts, including some weekends, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma or a combination of experience and education.
• License Requirement: Valid state driver’s license if driving a company vehicle.
• Availability to Work: 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Oral Communication: Speaks clearly; listens and gets clarification.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the facility tidy and safe.
• Walk the garage daily to identify and address maintenance issues.
• Sweep and pick up around entrances/exits and clean surfaces, rails, etc.
• Replace burned out bulbs and report repairs as needed.
• Submit requests for repairs or maintenance and maintain safety checks.
• Assist customers within the facility and resolve complaints as needed.
