Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking an Operating Engineer in Kennesaw, GA to maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life safety systems in our facilities. This hands-on role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable building operations.

You will work with building automation systems, monitor performance, and coordinate with outside contractors while delivering excellent service to occupants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in electrical or HVAC/refrigeration trades.
• Valid U.S. driver0s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work safely with proper personal protective equipment (PPE) in various facility environments.
• Physical capability to perform frequent walking, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, lifting, and overhead work.
• Universal Technician Certification for CFCs (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Trade school education or certification in HVAC, electrical, or related technical field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain facility systems safely in accordance with all government and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Monitor equipment performance, record operational readings, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal system efficiency.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer service requests and emergency situations throughout the facility.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
• Coordinate with outside contractors, monitor work quality and pricing, and ensure project completion standards are met.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and assist with incident investigations as required.
