Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Operating Engineer to operate, maintain and repair facility systems, with a focus on electrical, HVAC, piping, or central utility plant operations. The role requires multi-skill capability and practical troubleshooting.

You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor equipment, manage inventory, and coordinate with contractors while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-4 years experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• Ability to analyze operation of Commercial/Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC systems and take corrective action.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment on all systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and monitor systems per standards.
• Maintain inventory, parts, and tools; manage contractor work quality and costs.
• Record readings and adjust equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Adhere to safety policies and handling of hazardous materials.
