Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Operating Engineer to maintain and repair critical facility systems. You will specialize in one craft (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant) while supporting multi-skilled operations to ensure high safety and performance.

You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor equipment, manage inventory, and support vendor relationships to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Specialized craft in Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations.
• Multi-skilled across building systems and equipment types.
• Experience with facility services, preventative maintenance, and inventory control.
• Knowledge of safety protocols for hazardous material storage, usage, and disposal.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Understanding of quality control processes and vendor management.
• Capable of working independently and completing daily/weekly tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire/life safety, and control systems.
• Execute preventative maintenance to optimize HVAC systems and equipment performance.
• Record readings and adjust operations to ensure proper system functioning.
• Review client service summaries to identify recurring issues and resolve them.
• Monitor vendor performance and procurement accuracy.
