Job summary

JLL is seeking an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems at a Class A downtown Atlanta office building. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating on-call and on-site presence.

The role demands 3+ years of related experience, trade/union training, EPA certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance).
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 feet.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks across building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and locksmith work.
• Maintain work order system (PRISM) and respond to tenant service requests.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections; assist with on-call or emergency responses.
• Troubleshoot building systems (electrical, DDC, pneumatic controls) and ensure safety procedures.
