Job summary

The City of Beloit is seeking a Facilities Manager within the Operations Division of the Public Works Department. The role requires planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating facility management for city properties and developing work plans via work orders and inspections.

Responsibilities include assisting with the capital improvement plan, managing facility service contracts, and overseeing custodial and maintenance operations to ensure safe, efficient city facilities.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• An Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible lead employee or supervisory experience with building and mechanical repair.
• Other combinations of training and/or experience that demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate facility management for assigned city facilities/properties.
• Create, implement, and monitor work plans through review and assignment of work orders, inspections, and service requests.
• Assist in developing and implementing the capital improvement plan for facility projects, contracts, and custodial/maintenance.
