Job summary

The City of Beloit has an employment opportunity in the Water Resources Division of the Department of Public Works for an Equipment Operator- Wastewater. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Class A CDL with the “N” tank endorsement is preferred.
• One year of responsible work experience, preferably in public works or utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled manual labor for maintenance of sanitary and storm water collection systems, alone or in a team.
• Assist with bio-solids recycling operations and operate land application equipment as needed.
• Assist in construction and maintenance of sanitary sewer, wastewater treatment, storm water and public drinking water facilities.
