Zusammenfassung

New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs seeks a Facilities Operations Assistant 1 to support maintenance of armory facilities across the state. You will paint surfaces, perform general upkeep, and assist with carpentry, electrical, or painting tasks under instruction.

Under supervision, you will handle routine maintenance, operate light equipment, and ensure health and safety standards are met. This is essential, on-site work with occasional travel and overtime.

Qualifikationen

• Physically able to perform moderate to heavy labor.
• Experience in maintenance, grounds work or construction preferred.
• Able to read and write English; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have a valid driver’s license to operate a vehicle.
• Willingness to obtain military driver’s license as required.

Aufgaben

• Perform grounds maintenance such as mowing, landscaping, and snow/ice removal.
• Provide general facilities maintenance including cleaning and painting.
• Maintain automotive equipment and other machinery as needed.
• Assist with health, safety, and compliance standards for facilities.
• Support nonmilitary use program requirements and record-keeping tasks.
• Use basic computer tools for timesheets and work orders; participate in training.
• Occasional overtime or travel to other facilities may be required.
