Job summary

JLL is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager in Charlotte, NC, to partner with the Facility Manager and oversee maintenance, custodial, security, and vendor management across properties. You will help manage budgets, monitor service levels, and report on operations to drive excellence in service delivery for a best-in-class real estate portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of facility management industry experience.
• Basic computer and mobile skills for CMMS, email, MS Office, TEAMS, safety training, and sourcing applications.
• Strong organizational and management abilities with proven capability to work independently.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and effectively organize responsibilities to achieve portfolio goals.
• Basic knowledge of building systems and technical skills (mechanical and electrical).
• Commitment to teamwork, ethics, and excellence (JLL core behaviors).
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Facility/Property Management; CMMS experience; vendor management and budget development; knowledge of safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Facility Manager to oversee maintenance, repair, custodial, security, and building services delivery.
• Proactively manage client relationships and monitor service levels to ensure and increase customer satisfaction.
• Assist in developing and managing operating budgets with monthly/quarterly variance reporting for assigned properties.
• Monitor Work Order performance, KPIs, and SLAs, taking corrective action when needed.
• Coordinate with vendors on goal setting, performance criteria, and use of preferred contractors.
• Ensure compliance with audit standards, safety policies, local codes, and operational procedures while implementing hazard controls.
• Support the Facility Manager in executing short and long-term client projects and reporting documentation.
