Job summary
QTS Data Centers is seeking an Operations Service Center Facilities Support Engineer I to manage major incidents, monitor EMPS/BMS alarms, and provide remote troubleshooting for essential data-center functions. The OSC operates 24/7, so shifts may vary to meet business needs.
You will work with ServiceNow and Nuvolo, coordinate incident reviews, and ensure ticketing, change control, and data integrity while supporting reliable facility operations.
Qualifications
- AAS or BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years in a data center or critical environment.
- Experience with CMMS, ticketing, monitoring like ScienceLogic/ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with BMS/EPMS and CMDB; proficient with MS Office.
- U.S. citizenship required by law for federal contracts.
Responsibilities
- Lead major incident bridges and create IRRs.
- Answer phones; respond to facility requests and issues.
- Provide remote troubleshooting and escalation as needed.
- Monitor EMPS/BMS alarms; ensure data integrity.
- Coordinate changes per OSC policy; ensure SLA compliance.
- Document detailed notes; identify patterns for improvement.
- Maintain urgency and collaborate across teams.
