Job summary

Aligned Data Centers is the employer hiring for a Critical Facilities Technician to support 24×7 facility operations. You will perform on‑site installation, repair, and maintenance of critical and non‑critical mechanical and electrical systems within the data center.

The role requires hands‑on analysis, preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordination with Facility Manager and third‑party contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations and documentation in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 3-5 years’ experience in electrical or mechanical critical facilities support; or 7+ years’ experience as HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician.
• Electrical/Mechanical certifications preferred
• Able to work overtime and longer shifts (12 hour)
• Shifts may require work day/night/weekend/holiday
• Computer skills required: MS Office

Responsibilities

• Maintains, monitors, and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical and non‑critical equipment.
• Electrical responsibilities include plan, implement, coordinate and supervision of all electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management programs for a critical facilities environment.
• Scheduling, development and quality assurance for all preventive maintenance, contracted maintenance, general maintenance.
• Operates and monitors critical and non‑critical system equipment and components; oversees 3rd party contractors for safe and compliant operation.
• Receive and execute work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance; finalize work orders in the CMMS.

Education

High School Diploma

3-5 years experience in electrical or mechanical critical facilities support

HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician 7+ years
