Job summary

JLL seeks an Assistant Facilities Manager to partner with the Facility Manager in Charlotte, NC, overseeing operations including maintenance, custodial, security and vendor management. You will develop client relationships, help manage budgets, and drive service excellence across the portfolio.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and continuous improvement in service delivery, with opportunity to impact client satisfaction and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of facility management industry experience.
• Strong organizational and management abilities with demonstrated independence.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet portfolio goals.
• Basic knowledge of building systems (mechanical and electrical).
• Commitment to teamwork, ethics and excellence (JLL core behaviors).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Facility Manager to oversee maintenance, custodial, security, and building services delivery.
• Proactively manage client relationships and monitor service levels to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist in developing and managing operating budgets with variance reporting.
• Monitor work orders, KPIs, and SLAs; take corrective actions when needed.
• Coordinate with vendors on performance criteria and preferred contractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, codes, and audit standards.
• Support special client projects and prepare reporting documentation.
