Job summary

JLL is seeking an Operating Engineer in Baltimore to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems on-site. The role involves performing tasks such as painting, plumbing, lighting maintenance, and preventive maintenance, with a schedule of 9:30 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday plus on-call rotation.

You will maintain the work order system, troubleshoot building systems, and participate in safety and training programs while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable
• Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive
• Strong customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance (as allowed by any licensing requirements)
• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests
• Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks
• Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)
• Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls
• Comply with all safety procedures
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Other projects and tasks to be assigned
