Job summary

JLL is seeking an Operating Engineer to oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of critical facility equipment across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and utility plant systems. The role focuses on safety, quality, and client service while ensuring optimal building performance.

Key duties include preventive maintenance, equipment calibration, and coordination with vendors. The engineer will work independently on daily tasks and contribute to overall facility reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires expertise in at least one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations).
• Experience with facility services, preventative maintenance, and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations to optimize HVAC performance.
• Record readings and adjust equipment for proper operation.
• Monitor client service summaries and resolve recurring issues.
• Oversee vendor performance and ensure quality and pricing standards.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and pricing.
