Job summary

JLL is seeking an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems in a Class A office building. You will work with a two-person engineering team on site.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience, EPA certification or plan to obtain within the first year, and strong customer service skills. On-site presence in San Francisco, with a 7am-3pm schedule and rotating on-call.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of repair/maintenance work in HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• EPA CFC certification or plan to obtain within first year with company assistance.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Climb, bend, kneel, lift and drive as part of routine tasks.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance tasks across building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, locksmith work, painting).
• Maintain CMMS work order system and respond to tenant service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Assist with on-call or emergency response when needed.
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Adhere to safety procedures and participate in training.
