Job summary

JLL is seeking an Operating Engineer to join our on-site team in Baltimore, MD. The role focuses on operating, inspecting, and maintaining mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems with a 9:30 am–5:00 pm schedule and rotating on-call duties.

Daily tasks include maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety compliance, with on-site presences required. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a path for skill development within JLL.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education or equivalent training; EPA certification encouraged.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks including painting, lighting, plumbing, HVAC and maintenance.
• Maintain CMMS daily and handle tenant service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Support on-call or emergency responses.
• Troubleshoot electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in training.
• Assist with other projects as assigned.
